The MTC Institute was established in 2002 as an independent research unit of the corporation. MTC recognizes the need for quality research to support corporate success and growth. The MTC Institute addresses domestic and international labor development issues facing employees who work with Job Corps youth, incarcerated offenders and international laborers.

The MTC Institute was established in 2002 as an independent research unit of the corporation. MTC recognizes the need for research to support a framework of initiatives involving Job Corps, corrections, MTC Medical, International Development and MTC Works. Institute research focuses on best practices within education and training programs, staffing, and costs. The Institute benefits MTC's customers, staff, and the industries associated with MTC's five divisions.

Research results are published in three forms: Data Spotlights, articles and Research Reports. Data Spotlights highlight issues including the value of education, career and technical education certificates, recidivism and student dropout and completion rates. Research Reports probe pressing issues and identify programs that work with disadvantaged youth and offenders.

MTC is committed to ensuring the highest standard of social responsibility at our corporate, facility, and project locations. We have set expectations for volunteerism in communities where we do business and for employing environmentally-sound "green" practices at our facilities. MTC has also established health and wellness programs for employees and clients, and has developed a fatherhood workshop for our employees, students, offenders, and clients to gain a better understanding of the significant role fathers play in child development.
