Marshall County Correctional Facility Receives Perfect Score

(Holly Springs, Mississippi)– The American Correctional Association (ACA) recently accredited the Marshall County Correctional Facility giving it a score of 100 percent.

“This is wonderful news,” said Warden Tim Outlaw. “I’m proud of my entire staff.  We have worked very hard to maintain a safe and secure operation. This recent audit by the ACA reaffirms our commitment of excellence to the community in which we live.”

The ACA is the world’s largest correctional association, and holds facilities to very high standards. Prisons that undergo an ACA audit are closely examined on more than 450 standards including safety and security, staff training and development, general administration, physical plant, case records, management, operations, and inmate programming.

Following this accreditation, the facility will be required to submit annual certification statements to the ACA confirming standards compliance. Reaccreditation takes place every three years and is based on numerous security and operational requirements.

Senior Vice President of Corrections for Management & Training Corporation, the company that operates the Marshall County facility, Odie Washington said, “This is a great accomplishment. The ACA standards are set high and demand a trained and disciplined staff. We are proud to have the Marshall County Correctional Facility accredited with a perfect score.”
