Idaho Capp Receives Operational Excellence Award

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) which operates the Idaho Correctional Alternative Placement Program (CAPP) in partnership with the Idaho Department of Corrections has awarded Idaho CAPP the 2012 Operational Excellence Award.

“We’re very proud of Warden Brian Finn and his outstanding staff,” said MTC Senior Vice President of Corrections Odie Washington. “The Idaho CAPP facility goes above and beyond in all aspects of operating a correctional facility.”

MTC operates 22 correctional facilities, and each year, it recognizes its facilities for outstanding achievement. The Operational Excellence Award is given to the facility that demonstrates excellence in a variety of areas including safety and security, exceptional treatment of inmates, community service, and cleanliness.

Mr. Washington added, “We hold all of our facilities to very high standards in safety and security, staff training, inmate treatment, and overall operations. It’s not easy to achieve the Operational Excellence Award. Idaho CAPP deserves this award in every way.”

 

About Idaho CAPP

Idaho CAPP is located in Kuna, Idaho, and is operated by Management & Training Corporation, a Utah-based company, for the Idaho Department of Corrections. The facility has the capacity to serve 432 offenders. The facility provides intensive, three and six-month treatment programs for adult male offenders with substance abuse/dependency and related problems. The CAPP facility has been in operation since July 1, 2010.
